Occupation: SAHM
Marital Status: Married What is your favorite memory from high school?: It was all good- some of the best days of my life were spent at Amphi! Comments: Contact mercedessabal at hotmail to reach me. I was originally supposed to graduate Class of '89, but took accelerated classes in order to graduate a year early with Class of '88. I attended the U Of A for a few years and then moved to Dallas, Texas. I completed a BS in Criminal Justice at the University of North Texas. I started a Masters in Public Administration, which I have yet to complete. I have been married for over 10 years and have beautiful children. Before having children, I worked in the criminal justice field for over 11 years, supervising some of Texas' most violent sexual offenders. I also worked as a death investigator for a county medical examiner's office. I loved my career, but recently decided to take a break from it in order to pursue some personal goals. I look back on my time at Amphi with fond memories. Feel free to contact me! By the way, if you are interested in selling a 1987 or 1989 Amphi Yearbook, please let me know. I would be interested in purchasing them from you. I found Andrea Gustafson and Bonnie Johnson. I have been looking for them for years. I also heard from Norman Beer recently. It was great to catch up. |

Occupation: Behavioral Health
Technician Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 4 What is your favorite memory from high school?: My favorite memories have to be Sabino Canyon at stop 8, otherwise known as the "CRACK". Wildcat house teen nights! And being crowned queen in replace of my older sister durnig the winter basketball game. I was wearing jeans and a sweatshirt. DECA was always fun. Sneaking a bottle of scope filled with vodka with a touch of blue food coloring. Student section and Round table pizza. Does anyone remember the guy who was touching himself around the corner by the Safeway and we all ran! That was creepy. Student exchange to NY was a blast as well. Comments: Its hard to belive that I am approaching 38! Yikes. I feel like I'm 16 still (and most of the time still act). I am still the same dork as I was in High School. |

I have lots of great memories from the tennis, swim, and water polo teams. Those activities really helped my self-esteem in those awkward teenage years. Comments: Sorry I won't be able to attend the reunion. My parents still live in Tucson and I visit every few years. It's always nice to go back and reminisce (gosh, that word makes me feel old!). |

Occupation: Telecom Field Engineer
Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 2 What is your favorite memory from high school?: Favorite memory?!? Is that a loaded question? Mostly the people, football games, Round Table after the games ... working at Round Table after the football season. Driving to lunch with 7 huge guys packed into the old Toyota Corona station wagon and it scraping the road on the way. The Wildcat house burgers were the best, too. How about my favorite teacher's (Mr. Nido) comb-over? Classic. I don't miss Mr. Warnke(sp? - it's been a long time.) down by the pool! He always had to wander off, over by the girls sitting on the bleachers and "stretch" or "re-tuck" in his shirt. strange man, that guy. hahaha Comments: It's hard to believe 20 years have passed us by already. I'm sorry to say that we won't be able to attend the reunion. Mostly due to our 4 month old baby girl, Quinn. My wife and I just don't want to take her too far just yet ... besides, it's way too hot in Tucson this time of year! lol I really would have liked to have been there ... had a great time at the 10th! I hope you all have a great time and please keep in touch. Take care, Craig |

Occupation: Architect
Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 2 What is your favorite memory from high school?: Lets see a few vivid ones--Mr. Sterritt and the Young Hot Panting Devils of Shakespeare, especially when I passed out in class, shave-down parties and other rituals associated with the State swim meet, 5:30 am sessions at the weight room with Dave Kintas and all the other totally crazy big A team members, when the entire Russian class tried to ditch at the same time and were caught by svetlana, yikes, the wrath! Its been great to see what everyone's up to 20 yrs later. Sorry to have to miss the main event on the 16th, but hoping to be able to drop by the bar Friday evening. Comments: 2 youngsters, Katya (almost 5) and Chloe (2) at home keeping us tired, busy and incredibly happy! While parenting I am keeping my feet wet professionally, telecommuting from home ( back in Tucson at the moment) to design affordable and low-income housing in San Francisco. |

Moving Jennifer "Bowie" to L.A. w/ Justin Barney, then hanging out in San Diego during the summers..wow..I went to elementary school w/ many of you all the way to high school so some people I have too many memories, joking. I took the bus w/ Craig Gass in the early days, those were memorable. Lunch w/ Frank, John and Marc at Wildcat house playing pool to see who was buying lunch that day. Look forward to catching up with eveyone even if I don't recoginize you I'll pretend I do...:) Comments: Holy Smoke 20 yrs, what's next AARP membership. Can't wait to see everyone! Great job committee on getting us all together. Life is great, we live down in Key West, Florida. After high school went to the UofA while i managed and then owned a Dive Shop, traveled throughout Caribbean, Pacific and Mexico, whew do I have stories, lucky to still be here but had great expierences I would never trade in..anyways I started a telecommunications company then sold it..then created an internet company in Sedona, AZ. Did some motivational speaking engagements around the country and after that I founded a financial franchising concept where we have been blessed and hopefully done in a few years so we can play a bit more. I have the most incredible woman in the world my best friend and wife Lindsay. She was one of my scuba diving students got lucky and hooked an Iowa farm girl, we have two gorgeous girls Haiden 3yrs and Alexa 8 months old and they are what I treasure most, my family. Occupation: architect/mom
Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 3 What is your favorite memory from high school?: Struggling (and doing a fair amount of goofing off) in Mr. Pack's class. Sailing our cardboard boat in the pool with Mirielle and beating all the big boys in AP Physics. Many a crazy weekend with Lora Curtin. The train from hell to Mazatlan (didn't we hit a cow or something?) Sitting on the grass at the old Bentley's on University drinking iced mochas and inhaling clove smoke. So many more... Comments: Good to see some familiar faces . Sorry we won't be at the reunion. After meeting at the U of A, Christopher and I got married in 1995 and live in Santa Cruz, CA with our three kids, Cate (10), John (8), and Jim (almost 3, thank God). I am an architect and work part-time doing a mix of residential and institutional architecture. I work mostly from home so I can be a full-time mom (which is way more challenging than being an architect!). Christopher is a mechanical engineer and does R&D for a semiconductor equipment manufacturer. Life is full and good. |
